As a photographer trained in photojournalism, I am truly passionate about stories — both real and imagined.

It has been years since my last school assignment, but my photographs continue to have the qualities of what my professors called an "opener." I create images that raise questions rather than demonstrate answers. It is as if they are the preface to the rest of the story.

I take pictures as a way of finding the similarities among seemingly very different people, and I am drawn to the familiar, everyday tasks that every culture shares. Travel has inspired the majority of my work, and continues to be a source of rejuvenation for me. I hope that my body of work illustrates the common characteristics of people and the allure of exploring new places.
